Alp'Erbo — Herb shop of Haute-Provence

Founded in 1992 and located in Montguers, in the heart of the Provençal Baronnies, Alp'Erbo is a trading company specialising in aromatic and medicinal plants, spices, and essential oils. We cater exclusively to professionals: herb shops, manufacturers, distributors, agri-food and cosmetic industries.

Our strength lies in two complementary activities: a lavender and lime tree counter rooted in the Haute-Provence region, and a trade in aromatic and medicinal plants supported by a network of French producers and carefully selected partners in Europe and around the world.

Lavender & Lime Tree Counter of Haute-Provence

The Provençal Baronnies, between Drôme and Hautes-Alpes, are one of the historical cradles of French lavender. Here, cultivation dates back over a century — first wild in the mountain garrigues, then in fields from the 1950s onwards. The lime tree is also an emblematic production, closely linked to the territory and its agricultural know-how.

Alp'Erbo has established partnerships over the years with around fifty independent producers. Family-run farms, committed to their land and varieties — fine lavender and lavandin on the hills and plains, either conventionally or in certified organic farming, with linden exclusively organic.

We offer dried flowers in bulk and bouquets of lavender and lavandin, as well as 100% organic linden, directly sourced from these farms ensuring producer traceability and quality of terroir.

Trading & Sourcing in Aromatic and Medicinal Plants

Alp'Erbo relies on a carefully selected network of French producers, which is our top priority in our sourcing approach.

For aromatic plants — thyme, rosemary, savory, oregano — we work with producers from the South-West, in ideal climatic conditions for these Mediterranean species. For medicinal plants, our long-standing connection with the Angers region is crucial: Anjou concentrates the majority of French cultivated medicinal plant production, and our partnerships with these producers ensure quality, consistency, and traceability.

Beyond French production, our sourcing activity allows us to identify and select quality productions from partners across Europe and around the world.

Our business is simple in principle: to find the best plant, where it is grown under the best conditions, and make it available to our professional clients.
